Yellow Tree

This is absolutely stunning! I found it a gallery on a deviant under "expired submissions." That group sure dropped the ball on this one.

The limited color palette in intriguing, and wonderfully executed.

I really like the lighting you achieved here, the shadows are perfect and the picture seems to have a an overall "glow" to it.

I like how the field seems to have shape to it, is not entirely flat, as though you were peering at the tree over a slight hill and this is the vision seen from that vantage point.

I find with your limited palette that your horizon line is a little unclear, but it does not detract from the overall picture very much.

I like how you did the clouds, I wish you could teach me how to do that. lol I'm a self taught artist using acrylics and have not quite mastered the art of clouds as of yet.

I think this is a beautifully painted picture, with a great focal point keeping your eye in the picture and not running off the page. Bravo! I hope to see more great paintings like this one. I truly admire those who can create such great works of art with acrylic, which is tough medium to paint with.
